With municipal elections taking place this Saturday, the results of said elections have been sent in.
In Terrace, the new City Council will be composed of Chris Apps, James Cordeiro, Inder Dhillon, Brian Downie, Dave Gordon and Sarah Zimmerman.
Prince Rupert’s City Council will have Barry Cunningham, Wade Niesh, Teri Foster, Reid Skelton- Morven, Nick Adey and Gurvinder Randhawa, while Herb Pond will now fill the position of Mayor.
The City Councillors for Smithers are Frank Wray, John Buikema, Calvin Elliot, Laura Leonard, Genevieve Paterson and Sam Raven, with Gladys Atrill remaining Mayor.
Port Edward’s Council will be made up of Colleen McDonald, Dan Franzen, James Brown and Christine Mackenzie, Keven Mudge and Knut Bjorndal was re-elected as Mayor.
Hazelton’s mayor will still be Gail Lowry and their councillors are Allan Berg, Braunwyn Henwood, Jutta Hobenshield, Ray Sturney and Mike Weeber.
Quesnel elected Ron Paul as mayor and Laurey Ann Rodenburg, Scott Elliot, Mitch Vik, Tony Coulet, Debra Mckelve and Martin Runge as councillors.
For the Cariboo Regional District, Mary Sjostrom was elected in area A, Barbara Bachmeier for area B, in area C, John Massier won, in area D the winner was Steve Forseth. area E saw Melynda Neufeld win, Maureen Lebourdais in area F, Al Richmond in area G and area H saw Margo Wagner elected.
In the Regional District of Kitimat Stikine, Ted Ramsey won in area E, Bruce Bidgood in area C, Cyra Yunwa in area B, Eric Nice in area A, Dave Brocklebank in area D and Tina Etzerza for area F.
