Earlier today, the BC Achievement Foundation announced this year’s winners of the Fulmer Award in First Nations Art.
These awards get handed out every year in order to celebrate First Nations artistic traditions while creating a platform for community engagement, mentorship, and storytelling.
The recipients of the awards are defined as First Nations artists in BC who demonstrate commitment to their practice, accumulate a body of work while also being recognized in their communities for their craft.
This year’s winners are Jamie Gentry, Latham Mack, Qwul’thilum Dylan Thomas and a Haida artist based out of Masset named Reg Davidson.
The award winners are decided on by an independent jury and presented by BC Achievement.
