According to an annual report that was done by BC’s Ombudsperson Jay Chalke and recently released, complaints regarding BC’s Health Care system have reached a 10 year high.
The report also stated that around 1,300 calls had been to either ask about or complain about one of the Ministry of Health’s services or programs.
Those complaint calls supposedly make up about 15 percent of the 8,215 calls that the office took in that time frame.
It was also mentioned by the report that the Ministry of Health joined ICBC as well as the Ministry of Children and Family Development as the Province’s most complained about authorities.
