As the Cariboo Regional District Board attempts to recruit a new Chief Administrative Officer, they announced yesterday that Brian Carruthers has accepted the role of interim CAO.
Carruthers had recently retired from his local government administrator career, which lasted for 21 years, and was serving as a consultant to local governments across BC.
Carruthers has a lot of experience with regional district administration and a background in supporting, partnering, and collaborating with First Nations communities and community-based agencies.
He was also in part picked because he has lived in Williams Lake for 19 years and has a very strong appreciation for the region.
