In the Kitimat RCMP’s weekly report, it was revealed that they had to deal with three incidents of people taking to the road while impaired.
In the early hours of October 13th, Police issued a driver a 90-day driving prohibition and their vehicle was impounded for 30 days after a breath sample determined the driver was under the influence of alcohol.
An hour after that driver was caught, another one was stopped for observed speeding, was also determined to be under the influence of alcohol and subsequently, given the same punishment as the other driver.
The final incident happened in the early hours of October 14th, but this time, the driver was impaired by drugs and had their vehicle impounded while the Police also seized a small number of drugs and paraphernalia.
These incidents being used as further reminders to not drive while being impaired by either alcohol or drugs.
