Two violent offenders were arrested by Prince George RCMP over the weekend after the offenders rammed several police vehicles.
Not long after 2 AM on October 22nd, Officers found a vehicle, which was associated with an offender tied to the illicit drug trade, driving near the 7600-block of Gladstone Drive.
Officers tried to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle since it’s licence plates were expired but it didn’t stop and when it was located again on Simon Fraser Avenue, it fled from police once again and struck a police car in the process.
The vehicle was found a third time in a cul-de-sac on the 8000-block of St John Place and Police attempted to arrest the driver, who subsequently rammed an unoccupied police vehicle hard enough to set off the airbags, nearly pushing the vehicle into a nearby police officer with the force of the impact.
Another police vehicle got rammed as the suspect vehicle drove away but luckily, no one was injured.
But Police were able to successfully deploy a spike belt on Domano Boulevard and the suspect vehicle came to a stop on Moriarty Drive.
Police then arrested both the driver and passenger, identifying them as Brent Morgan and Angeline Hammerstrom, both of whom were already known to police.
Morgan will remain in custody until his next court appearance while Hammerstrom was let out on a release order.
