Canfor Pulp just recently released the results for their third quarter of 2022.
In terms of results and numbers to take notice of, the report states that quarter 3 had an operating income of $19 million, which was up $27 million from an $8.1 million operating loss from quarter 2, and a net income of $16 million, or $0.25 per share.
Canfor also saw a big uptick in NBSK pulp unit sales realizations and improved production reportedly came from capital-related downtime earlier in the year.
Overall, Canfor’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Kevin Edgson, stated that this quarter was a really solid one for Canfor and that the company’s immediate focus is still optimizing productivity while preserving their currently solid balance sheet.
