In a news release sent out earlier today, the Forest Enhancement Society of BC announced that they were sending out an Accomplishments Update in collaboration with the Habitat Conservation Trust Foundation.
The update in question highlights nine of the 105 projects that the society and foundation have worked together on, which shows the projects that best focused on maintaining and enhancing wildlife and their habitats.
Some of the highlighted projects include increasing fisher habitat stewardship in the forest sector, restoring whitebark pine ecosystems damaged by wildfire to improve habitats for bears, invasive plant management on the winter ranges for Bighorn Sheep to increase the quality of grasslands and more.
Minister of Forests Katrine Conroy went onto state that this partnership is very important because the society and foundation turn knowledge and data into results that help BC with it’s Together for Wildlife strategy.
