According to a new report, the Province of BC is going to be adding over 1,370 child-care spaces to the $10-a-day ChildCareBC program.
With these additions, the Provincial Government says that this will help families save thousands of dollars a year.
This program will also lessen the average cost of full-time, centre-based infant care at every participating facility to $200 a month.
By 2022’s end, the Province is expecting and hoping to get the number of these $10-a-day spaces up from the 6,500 available in April to about 12,500.
In total, these new spaces are being offered at 18 BC Child care centres and these additions are apart of BC’s commitment to contribute $3.2 billion for child care over a 5-year span.
