Provincial and territorial health ministers meeting in Vancouver this week will sit down again today in Vancouver and this time, they will discuss funding with Federal Health Minister Jean-Yves Duclos.
Duclos has previously indicated that the Federal Government is looking to increase funding for health care, but there are reportedly roadblocks in the way of that.
Host Health Minister from BC Adrian Dix has said the collective of provinces and territories have been seeking more money since the federal Liberal government committed to boosting funds back when they were elected in 2015.
Dix also stated that they were asking for a funding hike up to 35 percent, up 13 percent from the 22 per cent currently going through the Canada Health Transfer.
