With cold and flu season now upon us, Canadians will be hard pressed to find Tylenol or Advil on pharmacy store shelves.
There is a nation-wide shortage of both products and it was also confirmed that Terrace pharmacies are dealing with it as well.
Some pharmacists are making the medications from scratch while others are reportedly working to get the supply chain moving in order to restock shelves.
BC’s Liberal Party went onto say that the NDP isn’t taking any action on the shortage and Liberal MLA Todd Stone also noted that more and more infants get ill during the fall and parents are caught between a rock and a hard place without any direction or encouraging words from Victoria.
He also said that with over a million BC residents not having a family doctor and emergency rooms overflowing with cases of COVID, the flu and RSV, parents are watching their kids suffer and that while a responsible government would put the health of its citizens first, Health Minister Adrian Dix isn’t showing any concern.
