Residents of northern British Columbia will soon be able to access passport services closer to home, for the first time.
Next April, the Service Canada office in Prince George will begin offering express and urgent in-person passport services.
It’s something northerners have been calling for for some time, with some residents needing to drive upwards of 17 hours to get to an office.
On November 3rd, he once again pushed the issue in the House during question period, and continued speaking with the minister afterwards.
Bachrach calls the office a win for northerners, and proof of working together to make your voices heard can make a difference.
