A pair of roadside stops which turned out to be much more resulted in a busy night for Quesnel RCMP.
Police conducted the first stop at around 6:30 in the evening, arresting two women for possession of a controlled substance.
But, further investigation also revealed a loaded shotgun in the vehicle, and that one of the women had four outstanding warrants for her arrest.
That woman was held in custody, while the other was released pending further investigation.
Not long after, at around 9:00, police pulled over a second vehicle on the 200 block of Anderson Drive, after determining the it to be stolen.
A search of the vehicle uncovered 36 grams of meth, 26 grams of heroin, a handgun, ammunition, body armor, and $19,000 in cash, all of which was seized.
A man and a woman were arrested as a result, but were later released pending further investigation.
