A new partnership between the College of New Caledonia and Selkirk College will allow more pharmacy technicians to be trained in the north.
Together, the schools have created a new 15-month blended-learning program to allow students in the north to complete their studies closer to home.
Under the new pharmacy technician diploma program, students will take online theory courses through Selkirk, and in-person labs and hands-on activities at CNC.
According to the schools, more than 1,600 pharmacy technician jobs are expected to open up across BC over the next 10 years.
You can follow this link for more information on the course, with the online portion of the program set to begin in July.
