Construction work on the new Haisla Bridge is now 73 percent complete, according to the most recent project update from contractor Lecor-Haisla.
Between July and October, crews completed the girder launch, and the installation of deck panels and rebar, as well as utility hangers.
Installation of permanent utilities and lighting also got underway, starting with the East Haisla Boulevard and east abutment sections.
Drainage systems were also installed along East Haisla, with the westbound lane getting the first lift of asphalt paving.
Two new pedestrian crossings installed along the West side of Haisla Boulevard, with more walkway improvements on the way.
Construction activities at the bridge will be on pause until February 28th, with substantial completion anticipated for next winter.
