BC Flooding update

Special weather statements have been issued accross the province as flooding continues to threaten communities.

The sped up melting of deep snowpacks is of particular concer to those in low-lying areas.

New weather statements will cover the Bulkley Valley, Prince George, the Cariboo Region, and most of the southern portions of the province.

20 plus millimetres of rain is expected to hit the areas around Quesnel and Fort St James today, further compounding issues.

Flood warnings and watches issued by the River Forecast Centre remain in place, with more evacuation orders possible on the way.
