CN crews are responding to a derailment involving a coal train in the Northwest.
Manager of Public affairs for the company Kate Fenske says 27 cars on the westbound train derailed near New Hazelton at approximately 8:00 Friday morning.
Fenske says there are no reports of injuries and no dangerous goods were involved.
CN says emergency response crews, including environmental teams, are responding to assess the situation and start the clean-up.
The cause of the derailment is under investigation.
