The environment ministry has issued a dust advisory for the City of Quesnel.
Officials expect high concentrations of dust in the region will persist until there’s some precipitation or dust suppression.
Exposure to dust is a particular concern for infants, the elderly, and those with diabetes, lung, or heart disease.
Those with chronic health conditions should postpone strenuous exercise near well travelled roads until the advisory is lifted.
Dust concentrations tend to be highest around busy roads and industrial operations.
