Much of Northern BC is expected to get its first heat wave of the summer this week.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement as a ridge of high pressure will lead to sunny skies and temperatures in the 30 degree range.
The North and Central Coasts, Dease Lake, Bulkley Valley and the Lakes, Central Interior, Prince George, Cariboo, and, Chilcotin are all expected to see temperatures ten degrees higher than usual.
The hot weather is expected to hang around until Wednesday.
