High water affecting Lakes District roads

The Ministry of Transportation says the spring melt is impacting roads and culverts in the Lakes District.

Officials say a rapid melt in the Burns Lake and Grassy Plains areas has many culverts and ditches at or above capacity.

The following routes are affected by water and/or washouts:
-Hwy 16
-East Tchesinkut
-Colleymount
-Ootsa-Nadina
-Eakin Settlement
-Tatalrose
-Wilson
-Rose Lake Cut-off

Lakes District crews are out making repairs and inspections.

Call 1-888-255-8055 to report any unmarked washouts, water flowing over roads, or any other road conditions that are affecting travel.
