Williams Lake RCMP are asking the public for help as they investigate an assault that sent one person in hospital.
Police say the attack occurred as a man was leaving a local convenience store on Mackenzie Avenue just before 8:30 New Year’s Day.
Mounties say two males approached the man as he was getting in his vehicle and one of them demanded the keys.
The man struggled with one of the suspects and was injured with what police describe as an edged weapon. One of the suspects grabbed the keys from the man as he fled back to the store.
The pair rummaged throught he vehicle before fleeing the area on foot. The victim was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
RCMP are looking of the suspectswho are described as Aboriginal males wearing dark clothing.
